Alaska or Bust

Departing tomorrow for first leg of journey to Alaska with overnight stop at Fishberry Campground on the SD - NE border near Valentine, NE.

Day two and three will be at a campground in Estes Park, CO before a family reunion at the YMCA of the Rockies on Friday - Sunday.

Then we meander to Bremerton, WA where we will be a few days before getting on the cruise ship to Alaska.

This pit bull is in the house and is on rations and will be hungry for anyone thinking about entering.

Tree Removal

Before

When trimming out the dead branches there wasn't much left so I decided to remove all eight trees.
During
After removing the first three trees I decided it was too much work and that I would hire it done. However the tree guy was not prompt in getting it done so I decided to finish the job myself. (if you want to do business with me be prompt.) It took about a day and a half to cut them down and haul out the branches.

Not sure what to do with this spruce tree that has a lot of dead branches because it was crowded out by others. The other side looks great from the house but not so good from the road.

Stay tuned to see what is decided about replacement.

Class of 1964 Class Reunion

There sure were a lot of old people at this reunion. We invited other classes since our numbers were small. We entered 9th grade as the first of the baby boomers with 30 in the class, the largest class in history up to that time.  We graduated 24 and 17 are living.
