Lions v Vikings

The only good thing about today's game was the pre-game show and the Viking Cheerleaders where the cheerleaders were the highlight. I won't even mention the final score except to say the Vikings Q back was sacked 8 times.

Steak Feed at Post 377

Some of our long standing members enjoying the free steak feed at Legion Post 377 for members who had their dues paid.

A great steak was had by all.

Kenny's Estate Sale

Three catering trucks were sold, a jeep, a pontoon and a
a number of refrigerators and freezers that he used for his
food business.

On Saturday, September 20, I attended Kenny's estate sale in Watertown, SD. This is almost the last evidence of the life and times of Kenny Westerberg. His ashes are yet to be spread on his parents' graves in Iroquois.

The Winchester Model 12 sold for $325 (cost new in 1958
when Kenny got it for Christmas $90.00). The Winchester
auto sold for $275 (cost new in 1960's $125). The 22 pump
brought $575. I don't know for sure the cost new but I am
thinking about $125.00. One of the knives sold for $75.00.
All evidence that if you take care of your firearms they will
take care of you, or your heirs.

All of Kenny's personal property was sold including furniture,
lawnmower, snowblower, never used generator, big screen TV etc. A Grain Belt beer pitcher sold for $125.00.

The house is located on 100' of Lake Kampeska shoreline.
It was a perfect day to sell a house on the lake.

Luce Line Ride

It was a great day for a ride on the Luce Line.

The American  Legion Post 377 Color Guard conducted a flag dedication ceremony at St. Maximilian Koelbe Catholic School Monday morning.

Tree Removal/Replacement

Back in July I removed eight trees and replaced them with these seven Arborvitae. Now it's back to the gym for my workouts.

Return Trip

Wallace, ID is the site of the Great Burn that occurred in
1910. There is a book by that name that I recommend.

We used Yellowstone's Edge RV park when we got near
Yellowstone at the North Entrance. This is a very good
RV park just south of Gardner and before you enter the
Park. It is on the Yellowstone River. It snowed in the
mountains the night before we arrived.

Mammoth Hot Springs

The Bison in Yellowstone act like they own the place.
There are over 4,000 Bison in the park.

Old Faithful.

We spent two nights at Fishing Bridge RV Park inside the Park.

We stopped in Spearfish, SD on the return trip and took

a walk through the DC Booth Fish Hatchery.

Dale Haselhorst Black HIlls National Cemetery.

No trip is complete without braking for a few veterans'
memorials. This one is at the Potter County Courthouse
in Gettysburg, SD.
