As is pointed out in General Orders No. 11 “no form of ceremony is prescribed but posts and comrades will in their own way arrange such fitting services and testimonials of respect that circumstances may permit.”
In Port Ludlow we have a flag retirement ceremony as a testimonial to those who served our country and fits the requirement of General Orders No. 11 very nicely. Each flag is dedicated to a fallen veteran who is usually a family member or close friend.
